Easy peel protection film for painted sheet and panels

One of the biggest complaints we hear from customers is the time taken to remove the protective film from the painted sheets of sandwich panels, especially on roof and wall panels where time is a real cost. To help rectify the problem experienced by customers, Soprad srl, have introduced a new protection film which has an “Easy peel ” effect, making the removal of protective film much quicker and faster than standard protective film products currently on the market. A0063 is a transparent LDPE high tech polyethylene film coated with an acrylic adhesive ( 50 micron in total ), and is suitable for the protection of painted metal surfaces including Polyester, PVDF, PVC coated and Plastisol finishes. In connection with colleagues at AT & Components, and IMS srl, I have the opportunity to offer to UK customers series flow fans, cross flow fans, and electromechanical capillary thermostats. AT & Components is a well know Italian manufacturer established in 1959 and supply capillary thermostats to many large well known names around Europe. The thermostats are used in a wide range of domestic and commercial appliances from refrigeration to washing machines. Their sister company IMS srl manufacture cross flow fans which are used in forced air heating, and series flow fans for domestic ovens. IMS also manufacture condensate pumps for dishwashers and spin dryers. Both companies have full ISO accreditation, and in conjunction with their customer’s requirements they adopt a very rigid quality inspection regime. I may not have the in depth knowledge of the items Atea and IMS supply, but I know a man who does, and he excellent products and competitive prices ! Introducing: Spooled rolls of Surface Protection Film

Verotapes, in conjunction with our UK partners, can now offer Soprad protection film on roll lengths of up to 5000 metres long.

Spooled rolls of temporary surface protection film can be offered to manufacturers who require very narrow width protection film, with the advantage of much longer rolls. These longer rolls can help customers improve productivity by reducing downtime on extrusion lines. Depending on the Soprad product chosen, we can offer protection films as narrow as 6mm wide and up to 40mm wide on a spooled roll of up to 5000 metres long. Standard 76mm i/d cores, or larger 127mm and 152mm are also available.

The usual methods of slitting protection film can restrict the width available to customers, and can also drastically reduce the roll lengths. Spooled rolls offer both narrow width and longer rolls and are therefore especially ideal for pvc extruders. Contact Verotapes for more information.

Manufactured to ISO 14001:2004 standards, the company is one of the largest suppliers of clean room mats into the USA.

Clean room mats, which can also referred to as sticky mats, tacky mats or contamination control mats, are used in areas where contamination such as dirt and dust needs to be removed from footwear or carts prior to entering a clean room area. Available in a variety of industry standard sizes, in white, blue and grey, the mats are numbered with corner tabs, and can be supplied with either 30 or 60 pads per mat. Just secure the pad onto the floor, using the bottom adhesive layer. When the top layer becomes contaminated simply remove, revealing a clean mat. When you are down to the last numbered layer, remove and replace with a new mat.

The adhesive in the tacky mats contains a chemical to kill many types of virus and if required sanitized mats are available. They can be used in areas such as hospitals, medical, computer and pharmaceutical laboratories, and many other sensitive environments where the removal and control of dirt and dust is necessary. Higher adhesion mats can also be used during construction or refurbishment of offices to stopping the dust and dirt stop transferring to other work areas.

When is a manufacturer not a manufacturer?

On the Internet you will see page after page of companies offering to supply protection films. Many claim they are “manufacturers”, but can you claim to be a manufacturer when all you do is buy a product from a producer and change the width, or the length, or maybe just add your brand name ? Carpet protection film is a very good example. In the UK we have no dedicated manufacturer of wide width polythene protection film, and yet we see several making that claim, or giving that impression to the buyer. In reality, we have only a handful of genuine protection film manufacturers in mainland Europe, with other products coming in from the USA the Far East or Asia. Soprad srl, are dedicated surface protection film manufacturers ( they only make surface protection ) and have a wide range of different products for the many application now using temporary protection products. Temporary window and Glass Protection Film

Soprad temporary window protection film can help prevent scratches and damage caused to glass and double glazed units during transportation, handling and installation in new build applications and during building refurbishments. The temporary protection films are UV stable and can be left in place for up to four weeks after which they can be easily removed. It is important when covering pre painted coils and pre painted sheets, that the correct temporary protection film is applied. Composite and sandwich panel can be protected from scratches using a temporary surface protection film from Soprad. The gloss levels of a pre painted surface can vary and the wrong choice of protection film can cause problems when you come to remove the film. Soprad manufacture a range of protective films in low, medium and high adhesion. A special “easy peel ” product is also available for high gloss pre painted surfaces. Soprad produce films coated with both acrylic and rubber resin adhesives and they are available in transparent, tinted blue or co-extruded black/white. Upvc extrusions, cellular foam boards and sheet plastics can all benefit from using Soprad temporary surface protection films.
